Sickly green bubbles rise and pop with quick-silenced screams. Around the edges of the fire skeletons caper jauntily, their teeth chattering with forced mirth. They dance to the hollow thudding of skin drums freshly stretched from the flaying platforms. When the cursed church bells sound they turn as one and trudge resignedly into oblivion.
