Lovely, peaceful nature-oriented dungeon synth. I especially enjoy the harpsichord and string sounds, which give the music a hushed and thoughtful feel. I hear the breeze rippling through the trees as we set off on our quest. In the distance the mountains stand at attention atop the horizon, the setting sun crowning them with purple. My heart soars, and I let out a mighty shout, hailing the mystery and magic that await.
This album has been one of my favorites this year, the medieval essence is clearly present with sounds that sorround you in a totally pagan dance, the sensation of nature that it creates between the piano notes calm and manages to make you feel that you are in a moment narrated only by the music that this album projects.
I'm very happy to got a tape of this. This is a diamond in a silver mine.
Favorite track: Old Decrepit Castle.
Excellent compositions. Light in the right places and only barely touching on the dark. All of the different instruments blend together nicely. Perfect for inspiring adventure.
Favorite track: Twilight Upon the Peak.
This is album is much more than an extension of the previous release. Bringing the drum tracks forward in the mix and including the wandering bass lines have turned a hazy idea of the shire into a fully realized world full of color and character. The tale of Jawmine and Loamsdown slowly manifests itself as a work of fiction both worthy of the Tolkien canon, and equally charming on it's own. Tom Dang
